Sasha Allen is the only transgender openly performing artist to have completed this year's Battle Rounds of The Voice Live Shows. That has been true for 21 seasons. This Newtown, Conn. duo have made it into the top 8 of the competition! Sasha declared that he's transgender when the audition packet was presented during the Blind Auditions. According to Parade.com it was a quick decision. "That was a difficult choice because you're exposing a vulnerable part of yourself to a lot of millions of viewers," said Sasha, who was transgender while in high school. "But [last week during fan week], seeing people's reactions to and support for the show and the way it affected people really showed that this was a worthwhile decision and an appropriate choice regardless of it being a hard one to make." "'Have You Ever Seen the Rain' is a song that has been included on the list of songs that we've been wanting to feature on The Voice for quite a lengthy time," Sasha told Parade.com. "We used to play it before The Voice was even a thing for us. We received the song and we were ecstatic. It was a track we were familiar with; it was a song we already had ideas for arranging. I was amazed at how much the fans have hit the nail on the head."
